Jill won the nation's hearts when she took the top spot in 2004's 'Strictly Come Dancing' with dance partner Darren Bennett
Jill comes straight from the smash hit show 'Calendar Girls' at the Noel Coward theatre where she played Cora alongside Jerry Hall, Anita Dobson and June Brown in the adaptation of the much loved film.
Other Theatre credits include: Roxie Hart in Chicago (West End); Sonya in Uncle Vanya (Birmingham Rep); Therese Raquin in The Bodies (Live Theatre, Newcastle); Julia in 1984 & Alison in Noir (Northern Stage); Jill in Cooking with Elvis (National Tour); Mandy in Studs, Angela in Like a Virgin (Hull Truck Theatre); Jumping the Waves (Arc Teeside) and Liesl in The Sound of Music (Sheffield Crucible)!
Her many Television credits include: Most recently seen as Cora Davidson in Inspector George Gently alongside Martin Shaw, Jackie Holroyd in Blue Murder, Izzy Redpath (Regular) in Waterloo Road, Kate Mitchell (Regular) in Eastenders, Rebecca (Regular) in Coronation Street, Kelly (Regular) in Peak Practice, Roxie Ball in Shameless, The Catherine Tate Show, Dalziel & Pascoe, Dangerfield, Touching Evil, Heartbeat, The Round Tower, The Lakes, Birds of a Feather, The Bill, and of course Jill was first seen on our screens as Nicola in Byker Grove!
